The Roswell Invaders (3-1) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the White Sands Pupfish (1-3), recording a 19-4 victory on Friday at Joe Bauman Park.
The game was decided quickly as the Roswell Invaders exerted their will early with 13 runs in the first three innings. An RBI double by Sam Montgomery in the first inning and a two-run double by Alex Carasco, an error, a sacrifice fly by Montgomery, an RBI single by Dimitri Papantonopoulos, an RBI single by Kalin Sims, a groundout by Ryan Retz, an error, and a two-run double by Josh Mooney during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Roswell Invaders.
Sims reached base five times. He scored three runs and had one RBI.
Mooney struck out six, paving the way for a the Roswell Invaders win. Mooney allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over six innings.
Fabian Feliciano ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
The Roswell Invaders hammered the White Sands Pupfish pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 19 hits, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
