The Roswell Invaders (21-11) came out firing, but couldnt hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 7-3 ballgame against the Alpine Cowboys (25-9) on Saturday at Kokernot Field.
The Alpine Cowboys took the lead in the sixth inning on a two-run home run by Matt Henrickson.
Henrickson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Alpine Cowboys. He homered in the sixth inning.
Matt Streich went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Roswell Invaders. He singled in the third inning.
Brett Kennedy improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Alpine Cowboys. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Kennedy struck out one, walked one and gave up 10 hits.
Nick Hernandez couldnt get it done on the mound for the Roswell Invaders, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
