The Trinidad Triggers (20-7) beat the Roswell Invaders (16-13) 13-6 on Wednesday thanks to a three-run ninth inning.
The Trinidad Triggers scored in the ninth on an error, an RBI double by Shane Casey, and an RBI double by Casey.
Casey racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Trinidad Triggers.
Jeffrey Neptune pitched lights out for the Trinidad Triggers. Neptune held the Roswell Invaders hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Despite the loss, the Roswell Invaders Shane Simpkins dominated the Trinidad Triggers batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.
Chris Dragone improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Trinidad Triggers. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. Dragone struck out one, walked two and gave up one hit.
Simpkins ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year.
